MADISON LEVEL

James Madison, the fourth president of the United States and the second rector of the University of Virginia, laid the cornerstone of UVA with Jefferson and James Monroe on 6 October 1817 at Pavilion VII. He was a great political theorist, the father of the Constitution and the author of the Bill of Rights.
