The Project
We are excited to announce the development of a new Student Housing complex, reflecting our commitment to creating a holistic learning and living community that reflects Thomas Jefferson's original vision of an Academic Village.
The Project supports President Ryan’s 2030 Plan Strategic Goal to “cultivate the most vibrant community in higher education” and “offer [students] an unparalleled experience while on Grounds.”
Historically, most Darden students have relied on private housing near the Darden Grounds, with only 11% commuting from further distances. The new Student Housing complex will align Darden with its peers like Harvard and Stanford.
The Project will feature approximately 440 beds in thoughtfully designed accommodations, from studio to three-bedroom apartments. Students will have immediate access to the Grounds with state-of-the-art amenities, including dining facilities, study spaces, recreational areas, and landscaped courtyards.
